    Accompaniments of Mourning:

     

    Leviticus 19:27:    You shall not round off the side-growth of your heads nor harm the edges of your beard.

     

    Leviticus 21:5:    They shall not make any baldness on their heads, nor shave off the edges of their beards, nor make any cuts in their flesh.

     

    Leviticus 19:28:    You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord.

     

    Deuteronomy 14:1:    “You are the sons of the Lord your God; you shall not cut yourselves nor shave your forehead for the sake of the dead.

     

    Leviticus 21:10:      ‘The priest who is the highest among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil has been poured and who has been consecrated to wear the garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes;
