    "They don't know Me! They don't know Me!" Says the Lord. "They attribute to Me wicked things, requirements of religion that break the backs of the people. They do not know My heart. They do not know My heart is loving compassion. They know no mercy. They know no truth."

    God's heart is breaking because of the rejection from his people.

    "And so I will push them out of my sight." Says the Lord. "Do not point the finger. Look at your own heart and examine it carefully."

    The "requirements of religion that break the backs of the people" include, but are not limited to, living under the thumb of political correctness. People are told that they are not loving and they are not kind if they are not politically correct. If they don't speak lies to pet people's feelings. They are forced into oppression by religious leaders who have forgotten the Jesus who flipped tables. Salt stings sometimes.  less
