It's That Simple

  • It’s that Simple

Back in 2017 I believe during the Elijah List Prophet session I heard someone talk about repent, the Kingdom of God is at hand.  He then went and explained that repent should be "look at things differently" this year.  So I took this challenge as I read my Bible.  Oh my what an explosion it gave me.

Shortly after hearing look at things differently a friend and I were talking about Jesus’ prayer for us in John 17: 21-26.  Here it mentions what I like to call 3 in 1 – God in Jesus, Jesus in God, and Jesus in us. John 14:20 NIV On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.  Here Jesus starts to mention after He dies He will be in us the believer.  Again bringing up the 3 in 1.

Now let’s go to Paul’s writing Colossians 1:27 MSG The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, so therefore you can look forward to sharing in God’s glory. It’s that simple.  Paul’s main ministry was to spread God’s mystery – Christ in you to the people.  As a reread Paul’s writing he struggles were to get the people to change their mindsets and grasp that Christ was in them so live like it.

Out of my 35 years walking with Jesus I have not really heard anyone state or preach Christ is in you – walk it out now.  It’s that simple folks CHRIST IS IN YOU - Period.  Once we accept Him zoom He is in us and we are new creations.  The old has passed away.  Unfortunately I am told to change my character, do not touch this or do that, and many other words that are contrary to what the Bible says I am in CHRIST.  No wonder Christians have an identity problem.  We are never really told Christ is in you, release Him, let Him lead you, and walk your life.  Hey per Paul I even have the mind of CHRIST (1 Cor. 2:16).

So I challenge you to sit back and look at what Jesus did in the Gospels and then imagine that same person now living in you.  Remember, Jesus is sitting in Heaven next to God and He has put Himself in you. So start dreaming what you could do, what that looks like, and let the Spirit of God change your worldly mindset into a Kingdom minded one.  This puts a whole new spin on what would Jesus do.  Jesus made you – you.  None else has your perks, quirkiness, personality, character, thoughts, dreams, etc.  So go be Jesus as you.
