Acne

  • Have to admit, this study has me a little confused.  Read it, and maybe you can understand why, it's brought a little confusion to me.

    Acne:

1 Samuel 16:7:      But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

1 Peter 3:4:      but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.

Psalm 139:14:      I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

Proverbs 15:13:      A joyful heart makes a cheerful face,
But when the heart is sad, the spirit is broken.

Song of Solomon 4:7:      “You are altogether beautiful, my darling,
And there is no blemish in you.

Isaiah 43:4:      “Since you are precious in My sight,
Since you are honored and I love you,
I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life.

Colossians 3:2:      Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.

Romans 12:12:      rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,

Now that you've finished reading these verses, maybe you'll come to the same conclusion that I have.  These verses deal with sin, God sees the heart and will know, if your heart is without blimishes (sin), or not.  He doesn't go by the appearance of a person, but what's in the heart of a person.

Finished with this Study.  The next Study will be, "Acquiring Horses."  Another 1 day study.

    God Bless!

Crystal Roeden About Jesus: 53 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no...  more

Crystal Roeden The Lord hid himself in the form of a man who was not so handsome. The Lord looks at the heart, but mankind looks at the surface. They always have and they likely always will.

Mark Kunerth I would rather view this as showing God's great grace and making us aware of our righteousness. The verses, to me, bring encouragement and show God's great compassion. He says "You are altogether beautiful....", and "Since you are precious...  more
