STAYING ON COURSE with Jesus

  • Jesus has my back

Due to a bout with shingles, these last few weeks have not been the most fun. But I am getting better, Hallelujah! At first, my focus was lacking big time because of the over-powering headaches and itching. We all know what happened to Peter when he took his eyes off Jesus when he stepped out of the boat. Like Peter, and thanks to Jesus, He brought me through. I’m still not over this garbage but I can handle it a lot better now. Because why?

Because of one person and one person alone. Namely, Jesus Christ. He is my focus. The Lord is my Rock, in whom I take refuge [1]. Oh Lord, I will love Thee, you are my strength [2].

v2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
v3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
v6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
v19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
v28 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
v30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
v31 For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
v32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
v46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

It’s hard to believe that the Lord delights in me, but He does. Thank you, Jesus. Verse 31and 46 are worth repeating, For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God? The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

Thank you, Lord, for just being you. You are my deliverer and my salvation, in whom I will trust. Thank you for redeeming me. Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name. Hallelujah! Jesus my Christ is Lord. He is risen and alive. I know that he lives because He lives within me. Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord that through my hard and rough times when the enemy is in my face trying to distract me that you are always there helping me to focus on you that I can stay on course. Thank you, Lord that you will never leave or forsake me. For that and much much more, I give you praise my Lord God. I give you all the glory and honor, in your precious name, AMEN!

The Lord is a Lamp unto my feet [3].
