 It would be a major understatement to state that the Lord is often very creative.
I say that because the Lord IS OUR CREATOR. Anything from a sunset to crashing waves and millions of other things, God is constantly creating new experiences for us IN THE MOMENT, and He uses those experiences He created for you to have conversations with you.
Lana Vawser, whose word is below, says this:
"I was reminded of some of my deepest encounters with the Lord where He has invited me to have eyes that look for Him EVERYWHERE. So I am looking for Him everywhere I go in my day, always looking for what He is doing. I believe that a key prayer in this hour is that very thing. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you eyes to see Him in the unexpected, to look for Him EVERYWHERE."
I could talk a long time about all my encounters with God in His creative ways.
Here is just one example: A man prayed for me at church several years ago and he began to prophesy that God was speaking over me, "The Lord is saying, 'You are so lovely to Him, Steve!'"
As a man, this did not sound like God's way of talking to me, so I asked the LORD to confirm that He was really saying this. Only minutes later, I was driving down the freeway to a family gathering when a fancy, white car pulled around me and placed itself back into my lane, going the same speed as I was. What? I thought.
Then I looked at his license plate. It read: LOVELY.
Now, I don't know if God arranged for this man to do that, starting early in his day, or if God showed up in the form of a fancy, white car. All I know is that God was talking...TO ME!

"I Heard the Lord Say: 'Watch for the New and Unusual Graces'"

As I was spending time with the Lord today, I heard Him say, "Watch for the new and unusual graces."
I knew, immediately, the Lord was speaking about grace and empowerment to flow in the anointing and empowerment of His Spirit in new ways.
I felt the Holy Spirit encouraging His people that just because it feels "uncomfortable," doesn't mean it's not God. There are new ways that the Lord is wanting to move through His people in this hour; new ways of moving with the Holy Spirit such as, new giftings and new anointings that the Lord is inviting His people into. It can feel uncomfortable and scary to step out into the unfamiliar, but it is exciting because you will find the empowerment and move of the Holy Spirit through your life in a way that you haven't seen or experienced before.
Why Are These "New Graces" so Unusual?
 The Lord spoke to me that these "unusual graces" are "unusual" for a couple of reasons:
1. They are not what you are used to operating in.
2. There is a new level of creativity He is releasing in these assignments and projects. It looks different. The blueprint is completely new. It is a new level of pioneering and building with the Lord – in completely unexpected yet glorious ways. (Photo via Pixabay)
Again, I felt the Holy Spirit saying, "Do not hold onto that which was out of fear or to stay comfortable, but step into the new and unusual graces; for in these places you will find unprecedented moves of My Spirit, and an explosive harvest of fruit."
Blessed Are the Pure in Heart for They Will See God
Over the last few weeks, the Lord has also been showing me that some of the greatest encounters with Him in this hour are going to come in some of the most unexpected ways and places. I heard the Lord say, "You will encounter Me in new ways."
He brought to my mind Matthew 5:8, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." I was reminded of some of my deepest encounters with the Lord where He has invited me to have eyes that look for Him EVERYWHERE. So I am looking for Him everywhere I go in my day, always looking for what He is doing. I believe that a key prayer in this hour is that very thing. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you eyes to see Him in the unexpected, to look for Him EVERYWHERE.
There are going to be some moments of "commissioning," coming in some of the most unexpected ways, into these new and unusual graces and assignments.
"Lean into the Leading"
I hear the Lord say, "Lean into the LEADING." There will be moments in your day when you feel the tug of His Spirit unexpectedly on your heart; you will feel and recognize His presence in unusual ways. Don't dismiss these moments. Steward them well by stopping and leaning in, for some of them are going to be moments of incredible encounter and commissioning by the Holy Spirit.
 These moments of encounter with the Lord and His heart, and the wisdom and direction He is going to release, I don't have words to articulate. There is a new depth of His heart and His voice that you will find in surprising places. Stay grounded and founded in the Word of God daily, and look for Him everywhere. (Photo via Unsplash)
Deep Joy in Deep Trust
The joy that you find in the new ways you encounter the Lord will be deep. You will find joy in moving with the Holy Spirit in these new and unusual graces and assignments, and these moments will be some of the greatest of your life thus far.
Operating in these graces requires deep trust, deep dependence, and yielding to the Holy Spirit. Trust Him where He's leading you, even if you've never imagined going in that direction. Trust Him, for in your obedience and surrender, you are being positioned to see the greatest move of the Holy Spirit through your life thus far!
