Welcome to Intercessors for Israel

Psalm 122:6 tells us to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem."

Mortal Danger

The Condition of Jews in Exile

Mortal Danger is a booklet that was compiled from the final messages Eliyahu Ben-Haim gave before he passed. It is more and more relevant as Israel engages in the current war.

We are offering it as a free download and we pray that it will uplift and encourage you in these troubled times.

Friday Prayer Points

May 3, 2024

  1. Praise:

Last Monday was the final day of Passover. According to rabbinic tradition that was the day when the children of Israel passed through the Red Sea and the Egyptians were sunk. There are times when we believers experience a similar, seemingly unsolvable, crisis and we also find out that our God does indeed come through – but often at the very last minute.

    • We bless You for the times You rescued us even when it seemed all hope is gone (Psa. 124:7-8).

    • Thank You for Your last-minute rescues which trains us to develop patience (Jam. 1:2-5).

    • We give You a sacrifice of praise as we read of You placing both Israel and us as bait in a trap of Your making so that others come to see who You really are (Ex. 14:1-4; Zech. 12:2-3).

    • Since nothing can surprise You (Isa. 42:9), we thank You that You already know what You will do to set us and Israel free whenever we are trapped and then call upon You (Psa. 50:15; Isa. 30:18).

    • We praise You for living in a time when we can see Your faithfulness (1 Thess. 5:24; Heb. 10:23).

    • We are so grateful that Your faithfulness does not depend on our faithfulness (2 Tim. 2:13).

    • We bless You for saving us through Your gifts of grace and faith (Eph. 2:8-9).

Thoughts on Corporate Intercession

Shalom friends,

The following thoughts on corporate intercession are my own and while they obviously impact my position as director of Intercessors for Israel [IFI] the rest of the leadership team may not agree with all that follows.

I have been involved with Intercessors for Israel almost from the beginning of my time in Israel in 1989. Yet even before that God guided me to lead prayer meetings and teach on intercession. I have had the privilege of being mentored by, and sitting under the teachings of, many of the great modern-day prayer warriors – most of whom are now in glory – and have learned from them and from experience what corporate intercession can look like to be very effective in seeing His kingdom come on earth. May you be challenged by what follows, and be open to hear our Good Shepherd's voice if He is speaking to you.

God Challenges the Church: Do you trust what the New Testament says about the Old Testament? - Part Three

Those in the Church who reject the recognition of, and respect that the New Testament gives the Tanach (the Old Testament), usually end up with unbiblical views on many doctrines which lead to an unbiblical understanding of important current events. Obviously, much of this is in relation to the Church's view of the place of Israel in God's current plans – and much of that comes from a misunderstanding of God's essential nature which, as this teaching has previously pointed out, has its foundational revelation in the Hebrew Scriptures.
