"WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF WE ALL SPOKE IN TONGUES?"

For several months now, the Lord has been impressing this question in our spirits: "What would happen if we all spoke in tongues?"
That's an interesting question, isn't it?
If we all spoke in tongues more—whether on a personal level, or by praying in tongues together in corporate settings—what would this do to the state of every Believer, to the state of the Church, and to the state of our nation?
What would happen in your life if you became even more committed to praying in tongues in your own times of prayer?
As Spirit-filled Believers, we have been taught about the power and benefits of praying in tongues, but in some measure, many Believers have lost sight of its importance in establishing the Kingdom of God in the earth. Praying in tongues is essential to the Great Commission!
You will recall that Jesus told the disciples that they were to wait until they were filled with the Holy Spirit before they were to take the Gospel to the world (see Luke 24:49). Jesus didn't want them going anywhere without the endowment of heavenly, miraculous power that came as a result of the infilling of the Holy Ghost.
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you..." (Acts 1:8)
It is through the power of praying in tongues that we will make way for a great awakening and revival! As we continue to pray in tongues, we forge the way for God's agenda to be manifested to see revival blanket the land!
Praying in tongues also edifies us as individuals. Right now, you may find yourself under some type of attack from the enemy. 1 Corinthians 14:4 says, "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself..."
Today, more than ever, we need this wonderful tool to build our faith and edify our spirit man! We need the power of praying in tongues to help strengthen us for the day in which we live!
Consider the apostle Paul who emphasized the importance of his time praying in tongues. He said, "I thank my God that I pray in tongues more than you all" (1 Corinthians 14:18, emphasis mine). Paul was committed to the practice of praying in tongues, which is perhaps why he was able to receive the level of inspiration to write so many books of the New Testament!
So today we want to challenge YOU to INCREASE your time spent praying in the Spirit.
We sense the Holy Spirit is clearly saying that it is time for each of us to raise the level in our commitment to praying in tongues—beginning today!
