"We forget so easily that the adverse forces against spiritual
development, we forget that they are invisible. We're so used to
relying on our physical senses, sight, hearing and so on. We're so
used to relying on those that when we see a war, when we see a
hostile angry man or woman, we make the easy but false assumption
that the enemy is that physical object out there, whether it's an
army tank or an angry face or whatever. We rarely remember that
the real enemy, the source of hostility toward truth and goodness
and decency, we rarely remember that it is an invisible energy,
which is merely operating through the machine gun or the fist or
the sword. So remind yourself right now as we proceed here this
morning that the real enemy is unseen."
