"If you want to know whether you're in a dream state or not,
whether you're spiritually asleep as I've described, I'll give
you the simple rule to it, and then we'll go home.
The rule is: if you have anger in you, you are asleep. If you
have neurotic suspicion in you, you are asleep. If you are
afraid of anything or anyone, you are asleep. If you fear the
future, if you have great resentment toward events and toward
people who enter your life, if you feel either inferior or su-
perior, if you don't know how to behave in any kind of a situ-
ation, in short, if you are suffering, if you are pressed down
inwardly, then you are asleep. Now you know what sleep is, if
you have the honesty to admit it.
Liars shall not enter the Kingdom. If you want to cease to be
a liar, you've got a good start tonight. Let a little of truth
in and that will do the work for you."
