SERMON PREACHED 1/30/21
“IF MY PEOPLE.” 2Chron 7:14
2Chron 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven; and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
I.HEAL THEIR LAND
1.2Chron 7:14a “If my people, which are called by my name.
a.Ex 19:5 “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a pecular treasure unto me above all epople: for all the earth is mine.
IF, IF, IF, WE ARE CALLED BY HIS NAME, WE ARE GOING TO BE A PECULAR TREASURE.
b.Dt 14:2 For thou art a righteous people unto YAHVAH thy Eternal, and YAHVAH hath chosen these to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
WE ARE CHOSEN BY THE ETERNAL TO BE A SPECIAL PEOPLE? HOW COME WE DO NOT ACT LIKE WE HAVE BEEN CHOSEN, AND WE ARE PART OF HIS FAMILY?
c.Dt 26:19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name and in honour, and that thou mayest be a righreous people unto YAHVAH thy Eternal, as he hath spoken.
WHAT ARE WE TO BE UNTO YAHVAH? A RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE. HOW DO WE BE RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE? BY FOLLOWING WHAT SAYS THE SCRIPTURES, AND FOLLOWING HIM!
d.1Sa 12:22 For YAHVAH will not forake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased YAHVAH to make you his people.
IT, (HALLELUYAH!) HAS PLEASED YAHVAH TO MAKE (US) HIS PEOPLE.
e.Ps 29:11 YAHVAH will give strength unto his people: YAHVAH will bless his people with peace.
HE WILL GIVE PEACE WHEN WE ARE HIS PEOPLE.
f.Ps 100:3 Know ye that YAHVAH he is Eternal: It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
WHEN WE ARE HIS PEOPLE AND WE ARE THE SHEEP OF HIS PASTURE, WE ARE EXALTED ABOVE ALL NATIONS.
g.Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good work.
WE ARE PECULIAR PEOPLE, AND IF WE ARE, WE ARE ZEALOUS OF GOOD WORKS.
II.PREPARE FOR SERVICE
a.Dt 7:6 for thou art a righteous people unto YAHVAH thy Eternal: YAHVAH thy Eternal hath chosen these to be a special people unto himself above all people that are upn the face of the earth.
WE ARE A RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE UNTO YAHVAH. AND THAT MEANS WE ARE WHEN WE FOLLOW HIM IN ALL HIS WAYS. (PRAISE HIS NAME!)
b.But know that YAHVAH hath set apart him that is righteous for himself: YAHVAH will hear when I call unto Him.
(HALLELUYAH!) WHEN WE ARE HIS CHILDREN HE WILL HEAR US.
c.Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him beflre the foundation of the world, that we should be righteous and without blame before him in love.
EVEN BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, (HALLELUYAH!) HE KNEW WHO WAS GOING TO BE PART OF HIS KINGDOM AND WHO WAS NOT GOING TO BE PART OF THE KINGDOM.
d.James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not Yahvahosha chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
IT IS NOT THE RICH THAT HE CALLED, BUT HE CAN CALL THE RICH, BUT IT IS THE POOR THAT HE IS CALLING, BECAUSE THEY ARE HUMBLE ENOUGH TO FOLLOW HIM.
III.CHOSEN
a.Mt 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
WE ARE HIS ELECT AND CHOSEN OF HIM TO HAVE THE DAYS SHORTENED FOR OUR SAKE.
b.Ro 8:33 Who shall lay anything to the charge of Yahvahosha's elect. It is YAHVAH that justifieth.
IF, IF, WE ARE FOLLOWERS OF YAHVAHOSHA WHO CAN LAY ANYTHING (PRAISE HIS NAME!) AGAIN US? IF WE ARE DOING THE WILL OF YAHVAH. ( HalLELUYAH, HALLELUAH! PRAISE HIS NAME!)
c.James 1:12 blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Sovereign hath promised to them that love him.
WE ARE BLESSED WHEN WE ENDURE THEMPTATION FOR HIS SAKE, WE ARE PROMISED A CROWN OF LIFE.
d.James 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Sovereign; that the Sovereign is very pitful and of tender mercy.
WE ARE COUNTED HAPPY WHEN WE ENDURE THE HARDSHIPS, THE TRIALS, ETC. THAT COME OUR WAY.
IV.2Chron 7:14b “...shall humble themselves...”
a.Ps 34:18 YAHVAH is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
HE IS NIGH UNTO US WHEN WE HAVE A BROKEN HEART AND HE WILL SAVE US. (PRAISE HIS NAME!)
c.Joel 2:13 And rent your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto YAHVAH your Eternal; for he is precious and merciful, show to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
V.FOUR CONDITIONS OF BLESSINGS UPON THE JEWS AND US TODAY.
1.TO UNBLE THEMSELVES (OURSELVES)
2.PRAY
3.SEEK YAHVAH'S FACE
4.TURN FROM THEIR (OUR) WICKED WAYS.
VI.DIVINE DELIVERER
a.2Sa 22:2 And he said, YAHVAH is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
OUR ROCK IS YAHVAH, OUR FORTRESS IS YAHVAH, OUR DELIVERER IS YAHVAH.
PRAISE HIS HAME! HALLELUYAH!
b.Jer 1:8 Be not afraid of their faces; for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith YAHVAH.
WE ARE NOT TO BE AFRAID OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN, BECAUSE YAHVAH WILL DELIVER US FROM IT.
VII.DIVINE HELPER
a.Ps 28:7 YAHVAH is my strength and my shielf; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I prayse him.
YAHVAH IS OUR STRENGTH, HE IS OUR SHIELD, AND WE ARE GOING TO TRUST IN HIM. HO MATTER WHAT COMES, NO MATTER WHAT GOES, WE WILL TRUST IN HIM. GLORY!
b.Isa 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be no dismayed; for I am thy Eternal: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
c.Heb 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Sovereign is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
WE HAVE A HELPER AND HIS NAME IS YAHVHAOSHA THE MESSIAH.
VIII.DIVIND HEARNESS
a.Ps 34:18 YAHVAH is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
WE NEED TO CALL UPON YAHVAH IN TRUTH.
X.2chron 7:14c “...and pray...”
a.Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
WHEN WE SEEK HIM, WE WILL FIND HIM, ONLY IF WE SEARCH WITH OUR HEART.
IT TAKES OUR HEART, NOT BRAIN TO COME TO THE SAVIOUR. WE NEED TO COME TO HIM WITH HEART FELT BEING SORRY. AND THAT IS HOW WE DO IT, BY PRAYING AND PRAYING AND PRAYING.
X.FAITH
a.Mt 11:24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom, in the day of judgment than for thee.
THE KEY TO IT ALL IS THIS: WHEN WE PRAY WE HAVE TO BELIEVE THAT WE ARE GOING TO RECEIVE WHAT WE ASK FOR WHEN WE DO PRAY. OR WHY BOTHER TO PRAY IF WE ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE?
XI.RIGHTEOUSNESS
a.James 4:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much.
WE ARE TO CONFESS WRONG WE HAVE DONE TO ANOTHER BROTHER, TO THEM, SO WE CAN BE HEALED, OUR FREVENT PRAYERS AVAILETH MUCH. (HALLELUYAH!)
XII.OBEDIENCE
a.1Jn 3:22 And shatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
IF WE ARE GOING TO RECEIVE OF HIM (PRAISE HIS NAME!) WE NEED TO KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS AND THINGS THAT ARE PLEASING IN HIS SIGHT, THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET YOUR PRAYERS ANSWERED.
XIII.SEEKING YAHVAHOSHA
2Chron 7:14d “...and seek my face...
aDt 4:29 but if from thence thou shalt see YAHVAH thy Eternal, thou shalt find him, if thos seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
IF WE SEEK YAHVAH WITH OUR WHOLE HEART, (HALLELUYAH!) WE SHALL FIND HIM. WE CAN'T HALF SEEK HIM AND EXPECT TO FIND HIM. BUT WE HAVE TO DO IT WITH OUR WHOLE HEART.
b.Ps 105:4 Seek Yahvah, and his strength” seek his face evermore.
WHY ARE WE TO SEEK YAHVAH? BECAUSE IF WE DO NOT SEEK HIM, WE ARE NOT GOING TO HAVE HIM IN OUR LIVES. GOOD PEOPLE ARE NOT THE ONES THAT ARE GOING TO BE IN HIS KINGDOM. THOSE THAT HAVE ACCEPTED HIM AS THEIR SAVIOURT WILL BE THE ONES THAT GET INTO HIS KINGDOM.
c.Isa 55:6 Seek ye YAHVAH while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near;
d.Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek YAHVAH, til, he comes and rain righteousness upon you.
THE TIME IS NOW TO SEEK YAHVAHOSHA, NOT TOMORROW, OR NEXT WEEK, OR NEXT YEAR, BUT NOW, AND HE WILL RAIN RIGHREOUSNESS UPON YOU.
e.Lk 11:10 For ever one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and him that knocketh it shall be opened.
XIV.2Chron 7:14:4 “...and turn from their wicked ways...
a.Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto YAHVAH, and he will have mercy upon him; and to Our Eternal, for he will abundantly pardon.
XV.COMFORT
a.Mt 5:4 Blessed are they that morn: for they shall be comforted.
XVI.BLESSINGS UPON THE JEWS AND THE BRETHREN FOR OBEDIENCE.
2Chron 7:14...then will I hear from heaven....
I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN. I WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN. I WILL HEAL THEIR LAND.
SINCE THE JEWS HAD NOT MET THE CONDITIONS OF THIS VERSE NOR US, THE BLESSINGS PROMISED THEM AND US HAVE NOT BEEN COMPLETELY FULFILLED.
THESE THINGS AWAIT ETERNAL FULFILLMENT.
XVII.PROMISE TO SEEKETS
a.Lk 11:19 And if I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
2Chron 7:14g ...and will forgive their sin.
XVIII.DIVINE HEALING
a.Ps 34:15 The eyes of YAHVAH is against them that do evil, to cut off the rembrance of them from the earth.
b.Isa 59:1 Behold, YAHVAH's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear.
THE HAND OF YAHVAH, (PRAISE HIS NAME!) IS NOT SHORT, HE CAN STILL SAVE. HE IS NOT DEAF. HE CAN STILL HEAR. SO HE HEARS YOU WHEN YOU CALL TO HIM.
c.Isa 65:24 And it shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
BEFORE WE CALL, THERE ARE TIMES THAT HE WILL ANSWER, AND WHEN WE SPEAK, HE WILL HEAR, (HALLELUYAH!)
XIX.FORGIVENESS
a.Ps 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
DID YOU HEAR THAT? WHO HEALETH ALL OUR DISEASES, NO JUST SOME OF THE? BUT, ALL OF THEM. (HALLELUYAH!) WE SERVE A GREAT BIG YAHVAH, AND HE IS THERE FOR US.
b.1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
DID YOU SEE THAT? IF WE CONFESS THE SINS THAT WE HAVE, HE WILL BE FAITHFUL TO FORGIVE US OF THE SINS AND WE WILLCLEANSE US FROM OUR UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.
(PRAISE HIS NAME! HALLELUYAH!) WHAT A MIGHTY YAHVAH WE SERVE. WHOM WILL FORGIVE US OUR SINS, WHO WILL BE THERE FOR US WHEN WE CALL UPON HIM.
