5-19-20 T&M THE KING IS TEMPTED

  • Then Yahvahosha told him, "Go away Satan! For it is written: Worship Yahvah your Eternal, and serve only him." Mt 4:10

Temptation comes to all at one time or another. Immediately following His baptism, Yahvahosha the Messiah was "tempted by the devil" Mt 4:1. As Messiah followers today, we can most likely attest to the constant struggle between good and evil. In fact, it is when we seek to live closer to Yahvahosha the Messiah that the enemy works against us the hardest.

In his formative work. The Art of War, Chinese military strategist and philosopher Sun Tzu said, "Every battle is won or lost before it's ever fought." Have you ever felt this way in the face of temptation? does it feel like you will always struggle in the same way with certain sins? Perhaps you can't even imagine a victory in the face of temptation.

By prayer and meditation and the reading of Yahvah's Word, our hearts and minds are renewed, allowing us to feel the sense of victory before we meet with temptation. Because the temptation come of unexpected times and places, it benefits us to hide Yahvah's Word in our hearts, so that we may follow the example of Messiah by meeting each temptation with the Scriptures.

He has promised that, "No temptation has come upon you except what is common to humanity. But Yahvah is faithful, he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation he will also provide a way out so that you may be able to hear it." 1Co 10:13.

PRAYER: YAHVAH, HELP ME TO TREASURE YOUR WORD IN MY HEART THAT I MAY NOT SIN AGAINST YOU. Ps 119:11 . By Apostle
