ARE YOU A DISCIPLE OR A FOLLOWER OF YAHVAHOSHA THE MESSIAH?
Scripture Reference: John 8:31-32 - Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Over 2 billion people on Earth claim to be Converted and following Yahvahosha because they were raised by Religious parents or as a result of their religious affiliation. The term Yahvists was used only 3 times in the Bible. Yahvahosha did not call His followers Yahvists but the term was coined by non-believers of Yahvahosha in Antioch because the believers were living and following the examples of Yahvahosha the Messiah- Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the Assembly, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Yahvists first in Antioch. Acts 11:25-26
Discipleship means the process that takes place within accountable relationships over a period of time for the purpose of bringing believers to spiritual maturity in Messiah. To be Messiah's disciple is to be totally submitted to Jesus, to imitate His life, to learn His teachings, to hide His word in your heart and to become a disciple maker.
There is no true Yahvanity except that which is based on the foundation of Restored Covenant discipleship. Remember, the disciples were called Yahvists first in Antioch" (Acts 11:26) They were first disciples and then they were thereafter called Yahvists. We can safely say that the word "Yahvists" was built on the foundation of the word "Disciple" and not vice versa. Without prior discipleship, the early believers of Messiah would likely never have been called Yahvists. Today we see exactly the opposite. We are first called Yahvists and then hope that disciples will emerge from the congregation.
The term Yahvists has no biblical meaning apart from the word Disciple. If our goal is to make Yahvists that are anything other than biblical disciples, we have departed from the way of Jesus and the early Assembly. Perhaps we are in danger of losing the true meaning of the Great Commission - _Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of Yahvahosha the Messiah, Acts 2:28
In light of the above, only those who were committed disciples of Messiah would have lived in a way that they would have been described as Yahvists. You might call yourself a Yahvists today, but that does not make you one. Whose disciple are you? Who has control over your life? To whom do you belong?
