THE REVELATION OF THE SON OF MAN.
Scripture Reference: Revelation 1:13 - "And in the midst of the Seven Lampstands One like the Son of Man clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a Golden Band."
Living an effective and exemplary Life in Messiah as a genuine believer in Messiah he/she is intentional. Simply put, there is a serious need to fully grasp the implications and applications of whatever you know as a believer before stepping out in order to make a mark. For this Reason, the Saviour Yahvahosha the Messiah become God Incarnate during His Life and Earthly Ministry, taking up the Form of a Man possessing flesh and blood (1 Tim. 3:16). As He fulfilled His Calling in this world, there was strategic reason He referred to Himself as "The Son of Man."
As he described the Incarnation, Apostle Paul talked about how the Saviour Yahvahosha "MADE HIMSELF OF NO REPUTATION, taking the Form of a Bondservant, and coming in the Likeness of men" Phil. 2:7b . The Greek word used in the first phrase that was emphasized is "kenosis", which literally means Yahvahosha emptied Himself of His Divine Majesty and Power. A songwriter said "You laid aside Your Majesty" which is precisely what He had to do in order to become our Perfect Substitute and Sacrifice. According to the Records in the Gospels, the phrase "Son of Yahvah" appears twenty-six times and not even once did the Lord directly attribute that term to Himself (even though He was and still remains the Son of Yahvah). However, these Same Gospels record the phrase "Son of Man" eighty-four times and every single mention came directly from the Lips of Yahvahosha the Messiah towards Himself. How significant is this? The Saviour was simply pointing to the fact of Him being a hundred percent Yahvah as well as being a hundred percent Man but with great emphasis on the latter. He had to become a Partaker of flesh and blood in order to identify with flesh and blood (Heb. 2:14-15).
The Holy Bible refers to the Saviour Yahvahosha try as "the Root and the Offspring of David..." (Rev. 22:16b). The former is an allusion to His Status as Yahvah while the latter is an allusion to His Status as Man. How wonderful it is to know that the Person seated at the Right Hand of the Father making Intercession for us is "the Man Messiah Yahvahosha" (1 Tim. 2:5b).
