"When can Truth start to live our life for us? It can start to live it
from the very start if you'll permit it. And I've told you the permission
to be melted down starts when you're willing to bear the pain, the
uncertainty, the fear of not being a right person anymore.

And you see that you are afraid to investigate to see that you might be
wrong. Take very small things. At home where you're in contact with other people.
Or where you work, or with friends, anywhere. And you watch in ordinary
simple conversations of the kind you have 50 times a day, you watch where
you are insisting that you are right about something. And you look at it.
Maybe even in a simple thing. On the everyday level of business
maybe. Maybe a business matter, a practical business matter, and the other
person is right and you are wrong.

This, by the way, is why your daily life improves, very definitely
improves, to use that common word - as you begin to work along here because
you're admitting that you've been wrong all the time. What's wrong with
that? I see nothing wrong with that, except that our vanity sees a great
deal wrong with it and will fight you every step.

So the next time you insist that you're right, I want to shout out at
someone, you slow down and you say, 'You know there have been at least
10,000 occasions in the last year alone where I have been wrong and the
other person has been right, whether I admit it or not.'

How about for the first time consciously seeing that I was wrong? Even
defending my position was wrong. Even needing to insist that I was right.
Why do I have to be right about anything? Or can I just look at the
situation and be right by not trying to be right. If I'm trying to be
    right, I'm wrong."
