"The higher in you must respond to the higher above you. So we have to talk
about blockages in order to understand and make the way clear for the spark
of trueness that we have, to make contact with what can turn it into pure
light. Blockages first of all are not very popular topics of investigation
with us. We sort of like the bumps in the road.
If you're driving a car along a rough country dirt road, there are a lot
of bumps in it. The driver of that car could actually get used to them
because they can supply a lot of complaints, and complaints and criticisms
are essential to the survival of the un-true nature within.
So what we're going to do this morning is discover just why we're so
in love with the bumps in our life, the disappointments, the complaints,
that in spite of all we've done, the rewards have not been forthcoming.
And one reason your rewards have not been forthcoming is because you want
the rewards that you yourself have set up as being desirable and pleasant
for you.
No human being can set his own goals, his own requirements and then expect
the success of those worldly requirements to give him a feeling of goodness
and trueness - it can't make him happy. Oh, there's a clear indication of
where we have to work consistently to stop the problem at the start."
