"There was a classic movie made a long, long time ago and probably made
in a repeat after that called 'What Price Glory.' It showed the folly
of the glory of a few days in uniform and getting the medals.
What price glory, what price do you have to pay for it? Do you know yet
what price you have to pay for it? You should know because you're paying
for it all the time, because the demand upon you is incessant, it never
stops. I ask you right now to notice the demands that are made on you
that you can't figure out why you have them. You have them because you
still want glory.
You still believe in this life; you still believe in yourself. You
haven't dislodged yourself from yourself yet. You're always thinking
that an emotion is power, that a mood is a virtue. You're always
ascribing glory to yourself that has no existence at all except in your
misinformed mind."
