A group of disciples left the lecture hall after a particularly powerful
message from their teacher. A young student commented, 'It is almost
frightening the way the master exposes our pretenses. Part of me wants to
run a way and hide.' Other pupils nodded in agreement.
Said an advanced student with a smile, 'Truly you are beginners on the
path. Be neither frightened nor angry toward a teacher who sees through
you, for he is the only kind of person who can really help you.'
_Careful attention to our truth-lessons makes them appear less and less
like hawks and look more and more like the doves that they are._"
