"I'll read a very short Bible verse to you: Proverbs 24:2O - 'For there
shall be no reward to the evil man. For there shall be no reward to the
evil man.'
Now tonight is story time, at least at the start, and we're going to talk
about that and many other things, that there is no reward, there is no good
future, there is no happiness to a bad man or woman. Now, will you think
with me right now, and think in a way you've never, ever thought before.
I want you to think of any time when you have been bad - malicious,
petty, a childish outburst of some kind or another. Now, at the moment when
you are behaving from your false nature, were you a happy person? No, you
weren't. You may have been an explosive man, you might have shaken with
great, odd delight over the thrill of being hostile, but you don't know
and you don't know yet that that is not happiness.
Happiness is the absence of being bad. If you're unhappy, what does that
tell you? You're not good; that you're not a good person, you're a bad
person. Can you see it?
I want you to stop right now and see the connection between being a wicked,
awful type human being and the fact that you feel bad. Why? - because
you're feeling yourself.
How can you feel anything but yourself? You always do that and nothing
more. Want to feel better, then you're going to have to be better. If you
want to feel free, you are going to have to be free."
