all. It can't go anywhere, can it? It has no life, no power to leave the
earthly level and go aloft. It is up to you to know and to repeat to
yourself the short fact that knowledge is not enough. Now you already sense
that but it's not enough to have a vague feeling of it.
You must realize you cannot continue to just collect facts, read books. You
cannot just continue to do that and hope that your life will take off, that
you'll rise above yourself. You must be disillusioned with thinking that a
collection of ideas and plans can change you because they can't. This is so
essential for you to know so that you will not just sit inside the airplane
and hope it will move forward and then fly into the clear, pretty sky. It
will not do that. Furthermore, admit it, it has not done that."
