  • Addiction 2:

Titus 1:7:      For the overseer must be above reproach as God’s steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain,

1 Corinthians 6:10:     nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

Colossians 3:7:      and in them you also once walked, when you were living in them.

Matthew 6:13:      ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’]

Romans 6:19-20:      I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification. For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

Philippians 3:18-19:      For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.

John 8:36:      So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

2 Peter 2:19:  promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved.
