Admonition, Receiving:
Proverbs 13:18: Poverty and shame will come to him who neglects discipline,
But he who regards reproof will be honored.
Proverbs 25:12: Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold
Is a wise reprover to a listening ear.
Proverbs 15:5: A fool rejects his father’s discipline,
But he who regards reproof is sensible.
Jeremiah 2:30: “In vain I have struck your sons;
They accepted no chastening.
Your sword has devoured your prophets
Like a destroying lion.
Jeremiah 5:3: O Lord, do not Your eyes look for truth?
You have smitten them,
But they did not weaken;
You have consumed them,
But they refused to take correction.
They have made their faces harder than rock;
They have refused to repent.
Jeremiah 7:28: You shall say to them, ‘This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the Lord their God or accept correction; truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.
Zephaniah 3:1-2: Woe to her who is rebellious and defiled,
The tyrannical city!
She heeded no voice,
She accepted no instruction.
She did not trust in the Lord,
She did not draw near to her God.
