Adversity

  • This Study will be 5 days long, the last will be done Monday.  I won't be on Friday, due to an appt.  Then on Tuesday, a short Study from the Thematic Bible, also on Adversity.  The URL will be shown today, and again at the end of the Thematic Bible Study.

    Adversity:

    James 1:2-4:    Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

    Proverbs 17:17:    A friend loves at all times,
    And a brother is born for adversity.

    Romans 8:28:    And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

    Isaiah 41:10:    'Do not fear, for I am with you;
    Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
    I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
    Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

    Proverbs 18:24:    A man of too many friends comes to ruin,
    But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

    Psalm 55:22:    Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you;
    He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

    John 16:33:    These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

    Isaiah 40:31:    Yet those who wait for the Lord
    Will gain new strength;
    They will mount up with wings like eagles,
    They will run and not get tired,
    They will walk and not become weary.

    1 Corinthians 10:13:    No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

    Jeremiah 29:11:    For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
