Affection, Expressing 4:
Psalm 35:14: I went about as though it were my friend or brother;
I bowed down mourning, as one who sorrows for a mother.
Lamentations 2:11: My eyes fail because of tears,
My spirit is greatly troubled;
My heart is poured out on the earth
Because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, When little ones and infants faint
In the streets of the city.
Romans 9:2-3: that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh,
Proverbs 23:15: My son, if your heart is wise,
My own heart also will be glad;
Proverbs 27:11: Be wise, my son, and make my heart glad,
That I may reply to him who reproaches me.
Galatians 4:14-15: and that which was a trial to you in my bodily condition you did not despise or loathe, but you received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus Himself. Where then is that sense of blessing you had? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me.
1 Corinthians 4:14: I do not write these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.
Proverbs 1:8: Hear, my son, your father’s instruction
And do not forsake your mother’s teaching;
