    Afflictions From The Thematic Bible 17:

    AFFLICTIONS>>SAINTS ARE TO EXPECT
    John 16:33:

    These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

    Acts 14:22:  strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, “Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.”

    AFFLICTIONS>>MOMENTS OF DISCOURAGEMENT>>JOB

    Job 10:1:
    “I loathe my own life;
    I will give full vent to my complaint;
    I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.

    Psalm 31:10:
    For my life is spent with sorrow
    And my years with sighing;
    My strength has failed because of my iniquity,
    And my body has wasted away.

    AFFLICTIONS>>SAINTS HAVE JOY UNDER

    Job 5:17:
    “Behold, how happy is the man whom God reproves,
    So do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.

    James 5:11:
    We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.

    AFFLICTIONS>>SAINTED APPOINTED TO

    1 Thessalonians 3:3:  so that no one would be disturbed by these afflictions; for you yourselves know that we have been destined for this.
    AFFLICTIONS>>PROMISES CONCERNING>>MEMBERSHIP IN THE COMPANY OF THE REDEEMED

    Revelation 7:13-14:  Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?" I said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

    AFFLICTIONS>>PROMISES CONCERNING>>SUFFICIENCY OF DIVINE GRACE

    2 Corinthians 12:9:  And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

    Finished for today.

    God Bless!
