The aspects of the triune God

  • Hebrews 9:

    And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

    Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

    To me the manna represents the Holy Spirit which is with the servants of the Lord daily, the Rod represents Christ, and the tablets represent the Lord our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

    17 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

    Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.

    And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.

    And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.

    And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

    And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

    And Moses laid up the rods before the Lord in the tabernacle of witness.

    And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

    And Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

    10 And the Lord said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.

    This was the method they used to determine who the leader should be on account of they were all bickering over it.  The rod brought forth three stages of the growth of the rod and now we know it came from an almond tree.  The triune nature of even the plants.  The scripture says even if you've never heard of God, you can see his reflection in all of creation.

    If you read the entire book of Isaiah, you see God the father talking about the arm of the Lord, which is also the Word:

    In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

    The same was in the beginning with God.

    All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

    In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

    And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

    There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

    The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

    He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

    That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

    10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

    11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

    12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

    13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

    14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

    15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

    16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

    17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

    Jewish folks would ask you.......where is this in OUR cannon of scripture?

    15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

    16 According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

    17 And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.

    18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.  (There it is, the promise of a prophet like Moses, who would teach them the new covenant made with all of mankind.  This time the covenant was not in effect due to the sacrifice in the temple, this covenant was established at the cross for all men for all time.)

    19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

    20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

    21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?

    22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

    I just added that last part to establish how you know a false prophet, a fyi type thing.

    We are triune beings made in the image of a triune God.  We have a spirit, a soul and a body.  All different aspects of us, but all of them us.  So it is with God the Father, the Son (word, arm of the Lord, angel of the Lord), and the Holy Spirit.  You might need to be able to explain to someone who thinks Christians worship three gods that truly we don't, we worship one God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but that God has been manifested to mankind in three forms.

    Some say Christ was ONLY a prophet and I tell you that because he accepted worship, either he was God in the flesh or else he was breaking the law regarding worshiping only God.  Either he was God in the flesh or he was a law breaker and the Christian belief system is nothing.  It cannot be said that he was ONLY a prophet but Mormons say that and so does Islam and Israel says he was a heretic.

    I love the Lord and I regard Christ as God's love letter to mankind, his solution to the problems of death and sin and him showing us his very heart.  Shalom
