WHO"S YOUR DADDY?

  • Since this weekend is Fathers Day weekend I thought I would share a short story with you. But first let me say, that there are many children in this generation that are growing up without a daddy in the home for many different reasons. But in that since, this generation is no different than the generation I grew up in, it's just this generation, the mother that is responsible of rearing the child are having a hard time dealing with being the total package for the child. When her mind is, woo is me, instead of calling on the ABBA Father for His help and guidance.

I am not going to share the whole life story but just to say My Mom was my only parent I had and even though at times I didn't like her decisions and I didn't always do as she wanted me to do, not to brag on myself by any means, but she did an outstanding job in being my mom. And the reason why is cause she depended on her daddy, ABBA Father, He took care of us, He kept us in food, clothes, and a home when mom did not have the way to provide.

When I was 16 I begin to ask about my earthly Father, Mom explained after 14 years of marriage to him and she became pregnant, he decided he didn't want children so he left us and 5 years later divorced her.

I said all of this to bring you to this point. On Father's day 1972, I was sitting on a church pew in our little country church asking God about my father, and this is what I heard Him say. " you may have never known your earthly Father, but you have me and I AM YOUR DADDY"

I have never forgotten that conversation we had on the most important daddy's day in my life, and I use the word "daddy" cause most men can Father a child but not all want to be daddy. Our Creator, ABBA Father, wants to be our Daddy, and will never leave nor forsake us and will always be our Daddy if we will just allow Him to be.

52 years later, He is still my Father and my Daddy every day, and I am blessed beyond measure.

So, this "Father's day, remember who is your DADDY, and not just your Father.

    Happy Fathers Day  Daddy!
