STAYING ON COURSE with Jesus

  • God’s Judgement

    Part 1 of 2

    Again!

Jeremiah 17:9 tells us that man’s heart is corrupt and desperately wicked. However, everything happening today is far and above man’s capacity to sin, on his own. It's flat Satanic. Today’s events are a replay of 2001 and Satan’s attempt to bring down America by thwarting God’s plan. If he can thwart just one point of God’s plan, he wins.

So, here we are again, under God’s judgement. Will man ever learn? God is a loving and merciful God, and He always allows a period of grace after judgement to give us a chance to repent. If we do not, then there is more judgement progressively worse than the last. I will not belabor the sins of America, because we all know them [1]. May I direct your attention to Romans 1:18, 19?

v18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,
v19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. [Romans 1:18, 19 KJV]

As with the 2001 judgement, God removed the hedge of protection around America. He also removed His restraint, allowing man to do as he pleases. Like Job, God allowed Satan to have his way with Job to prove that he would not turn on Him. Job did not. Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him [2].

Man cannot fix the chaos of today, only God can. Not only is America under judgement, but also mankind. Some prophets say that the chaos is before its time. Now I don’t want to go against God’s anointed [3], but forgive me Lord, I don’t see it. I know what’s coming, and shortly. I pray that I am wrong. However, the arbiters of faith and eternal optimists remain determined and resolute. They remain steadfast in their convictions and perspective. What would we do without them? It’s confirmation that not all of mankind are in chaos.

This brings me to my last point. If we cannot fix things, do we, as Christians, have a role in the end time scenario? What is our response to today’s chaos? Check back next Monday and learn of our role with the Christian weapons of choice.

Lord Jesus, Thank you for your Word and for its promises. Thank you that every jot and tittle will be fulfilled. Thank you for loving us enough to warn us of what’s coming so we can prepare ourselves. We thank you for your redemption and our salvation. Thank you for saving us. What is coming Lord is a little scary, but thank you that you have not given us the spirit of fear. Lord, help us to be bold in these last days that we can bring many other nonbelievers into the fold. Thank you, Lord that if these times overwhelm us, the Holy Spirit will pray for us. We give you praise and honor in Jesus name, AMEN.
