STAYING ON COURSE with Jesus

  • Hunger for God

We are fast approaching Revelation 13 and Matthew 24:21. Today is the day and hour that seeking God while we can still find Him [1] would not only be prudent, but worthwhile. God said in the first book of His Word that He (His Spirit) will not always strive with man [2]. Christ also said that He would turn man (who reject the truth) over to a reprobate mind [3]. The unsaved are rejecting the truth [4], so let’s work on bringing them into the Kingdom [5].

Christ commanded us to preach the Gospel to every living creature [6]. There is an old saying that says, “we will find what we are looking for.” So, we need to seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness [7]. We need to love the Lord with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength, and our neighbor as ourselves [8]. We need to seek His face. . . [9], and move into the calling and purpose that God has for each of us [10]. We cannot visit God in His house on Sunday, and then live in Satan’s house for the other six [11]. There needs to be a hunger and thirst [12], 24/7/365, for God.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [Matthew 6:33 KJV]

The body has had 2000 years to preach the Gospel and win souls for Christ. We have failed miserably. But there is still hope. We serve an awesome God, a God of second chances and three, and four, and five, and six, and seven, and ad infinitum chances [13]. Like I said, Revelation 13 is coming soon (but in God’s timing). Previous generations have failed to reach the world. Let’s not add this generation to the list [14]. God is not willing that one should perish [15].

The famous parapsychologist, Ed Warren once said, “Diabolical forces are formidable. These forces are eternal, and they exist today. The fairy tale is true. The Devil exists. God exists. And for us, as people, our very destiny hinges upon which one we elect to follow.

Lord, I would have you turn your face from me for I am a sinner and undeserving of your presence. Lord, I am so sorry for the times that I have sinned and disobeyed you. And Lord, I praise you and give you honor and glory. You are holy and righteous and much to be praised. However, Lord, all I have for you is my praise and obedience, for all glory belongs to you and you share it with nobody. All honor belongs to you for we are all sinners and do not have any honor to give. Lord, as I approach my last days, I wait for you and the last days. My heart goes out to those who do not know you and need you in their life. But Lord, we all need you whether they believe it or not. Will their unbelief leave your faith without any affect? I think not. I aspire to your faith Lord, knowing that I’ll never achieve it. But your Word says, if I have the faith of a mustard seed, I can move mountains. Lord, I have not moved any mountains yet, so I ask for that mustard seed of faith. Lord, until I move a mountain, please hang with me and be by my side. I believe in you, Lord, and pray that you honor my request. And if you don’t, I will still believe in you. In your precious name, AMEN!

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord [Joshua 24:15].
