STAYING ON COURSE with Jesus

  • Do not lose focus
I want to speak to this Corona Virus crisis. It reminded me of my mortality and that we should all continue to listen to what God says, instead of things in the natural. We are all going through a world that has gone to hell in a hand basket; with wars both domestic and international, terrorism, CV19, abortion, and the right to kill babies in the womb [1]. Moloch (Molech) is alive and well [2]. Sounds strangely like Mathew 24:3-8.

Further, I need to continue to listen to what God says. We are all going through a pandemic together. But I believe that the pandemic is not one born of a Virus and its variants (which will never end), but is one born of fear. People are so afraid of dying, which is rather ironic because we all die, just not prematurely. (The Bible says, it is appointed to man, once, to die Hebrews 9:27.) I can say that because I have CV19. But wait, there's more.

I'm a believer and not afraid to die, because I know where I am going. I'm not excited about it, to be completely honest, but not afraid. The only thing I hate about my death is that I'll be separated from my kids, who have been my life. Death is a part of life, the end part but still a part. But look who is waiting on the other side with open arms. God is the only one who knows when He'll send his Son, Jesus, for my spirit (Ecc 12:7), so why worry about it. The Bible says in Matthew 6:27 NLT, "Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?" The Bible also says to "All those who are weary, cast your burdens on me, for my yoke is light"(Matthew 11:28-30). The Bible says, "Seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and all things shall be added unto you,

Mt 14:27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
Mt 14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
Mt 14:29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
Mt 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
Mt 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

So, I am seeking the kingdom of God and doing my best at listening to what God says. We do not want to be like Peter when, at the beckoned call of Jesus, walked on water. The second Peter took his eyes off Jesus, he began to sink. And so will will we, if we take our eyes off Jesus. As long as we maintain the faith, we can metaphorically walk on water. When we lose focus on Jesus, we sink, but Jesus is there to take our hand.

[1] Not one, but 95% of ALL academic Biologist' say that life begins at conception. But better yet, here's what God says in Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." Of course this is talking about the prophet, Jeremiah, but God is NO respecter of person (Acts 10:28, 34, 35).
[2] Moloch, Molech, or Molek is usually depicted as an anthropomorphic deity and included infanticide, the murder of infants as a Pagan sacrifice. Babies were placed in the hands of Moloch and then set on fire while all the worshipers stood by and listened to the screams and cries.
