"PENTECOST: DIVINE REFLECTIONS REVEALED"
CHARLIE SHAMP, MORAVIAN FALLS, NC
We stand as vessels of divine grace, mirrors reflecting the glory of the Lord. In our unveiled countenances, the majestic radiance of the divine is reflected and is a testament to the transformative power of the Spirit of the Lord. The Scripture 2 Corinthians 3:18 reminds us of this sacred truth: our ongoing transformation from glory to glory—a spiritual metamorphosis guided by the celestial hand of Christ.
God's glory seeks a sanctuary, a place where its brilliance can reside. Once, this sanctuary was the tabernacle, a hallowed dwelling place for Jehovah. However, under the New Covenant, the Holy Spirit undertakes a sacred construction project within each Believer. As stated in 1 Corinthians 3:16, we are the sacred temples housing the Spirit of God. Our bodies become the sanctuaries of the divine, mobile and dynamic, capable of preaching the gospel, and bearing witness to the love of God.
The day of Pentecost was not merely a historical event; it was a spiritual watershed, a moment that dramatically altered the course of the Believers' journey. It wasn't a fleeting encounter with the Father but a radical transformation that set them apart from the rest of the world, making them beacons of light in an ocean of darkness. Filled with a new-found fervor, these Believers turned the world on its head for Jesus, performing miracles and preaching the gospel with an unquenchable zeal. Their lives were no longer the same; they had been infused with the glory of God.
Walking in the glory of God is not merely a spiritual state; it's a form of spiritual armor. It's a divine fire that burns within us, a blaze that the devil cannot extinguish. The chapter of Ephesians 6 tells us to don the armor of God, which includes the shoes of the glorious gospel of peace (v. 15). Our feet are imbued with this divine glory, empowering us to tread on the forces of darkness. The devil, in this narrative, is relegated to a mere footstool, a testament to the overwhelming power of God's glory.
We are the temples of God, carriers of His divine glory. As we journey from glory to glory, let us remember the power that resides within us is the divine fire that can transform the world. Let us walk in the glory of God, spreading the gospel, and bringing light to the darkest corners of the world!
