"DON'T RUN FROM YOUR WILDERNESS SEASON"
DEMONTAE EDMONDS, ATLANTA, GA
Many of you have been rebuking and binding your wilderness season but it is the very instrumentation by which God has and is using to prepare you for your destiny. The wilderness is often used as a prophetic pressure cooker to PRESS OUT of you unneeded attitudes, heart motives, behaviors, and thought patterns that would be counterproductive to the will of God being actualized in your life.
When the Holy Spirit leads you into the wilderness, don't run, don't rebuke it, don't try to escape prematurely, but rather embrace the wilderness season as your friend. It may not be pleasant to your flesh and emotions in the now, but will produce a greater degree of Christlikeness, character, and internal strength by the Spirit within your life. These attributes will be needed for you to be able to STAND against the wiles of the enemy, the naysayers, persecution, and the burden of your divine assignment.
During prayer, I thanked God for the seven-year wilderness season He put me in! Imagine that! Thank You, Jesus! One day you will thank Him too! You will cross over to the other side! Keep the faith!

Seven ways God uses the wilderness for our benefit and His glory:
1. To get our attention and to remove distractions so that we don't miss the purposes of God
2. To condition us to hear the voice of God more clearly
3. To purify our motives and heart attitudes
4. To enter into deep places of devotion and careful study of the Word
5. To test the motives of the heart
6. To reveal hidden weakness so that we can be strengthened by the might of God's Word and His Spirit
7. To develop the nine fruits of the Spirit and character of Christ in our lives
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control..." (Galatians 5:22–23)
