"PREPARING FOR BATTLE"
ELLA ONAKOYA, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM
Recently, I had a dream of many Believers asking me to train them for battle. In the dream, it seemed we had entered into a season of war on the earth that many were unprepared for. Spiritual wars are intense conflicts often released by the enemy to disrupt peace as they try to release their agenda.
Be aware, this is a preparation of the Lord's army being raised up. Be encouraged that our weapons are so powerful in Christ as to overcome both physical and spiritual conflicts on the earth (2 Corinthians 10:4–6).
I hear the word "entanglement," and I believe this is a gentle warning for us not to be as civilians who are distracted by various issues that take our focus from Jesus (2 Timothy 2:4).
How do we war? We war with praise and the Word. Psalm 149:6 says, "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand." Walk in discernment, watchfulness, and the wisdom of Heaven. Focused, and at times, unceasing intercession is being called forth in this season. Remember your time is in His hands. When He calls you to pray and fast, don't lose focus. Stay in the covering of the blood of Jesus and decree His blood covering over your life, nation, community, and church.
I can attest to the faithfulness of God, as I have seen victories that the Lord released in times of terrorism. In 2017, I released the following word on The Elijah List about divine strategies to halt an enemy terrorist attack in the UK: "I Am Mantling My Watchmen to Pierce the Darkness in the UK" (see elijahlist.com). Many responded to this word worldwide and attacks were halted.
I have witnessed His move in pandemic times, including the recent COVID season, and I am ever so thankful to have seen the faithfulness of God in so many other events. I'm thankful for the Lord's call on my life as His prophetic watchman which made this possible.
A season of spiritual warfare is never a season to fear, and it does not mean we are not in a season of blessings. Both can occur simultaneously, and they are! However, I encourage you to stand to war and guard over your territory in prayer, with faith unfeigned, in righteousness, and in your armor of light.
This was such an intense dream, and I am sensing that the Lord is telling us to press into the following:
Stay watchful, in prayer and in love, with Jesus and the Church. Cover your house, family, and nation in His protective shield. Stay joyful, for the battle is the Lord's. Remember, our weapons "are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds"! (2 Corinthians 10:4). In a season meant for battles and storms by the enemy, the Lord's eagles will soar!
