A PROPHETIC GENERATION

We are to be a prophetic people. We are living in the age of the "flying eagle" that takes us above the natural realm into the Spirit to see things by revelation. No generation is in greater need of hearing a "word from the Lord" than our own.
To be a "prophetic people" is more than simply possessing the ability to prophesy. It instead deals with our lifestyle of revelatory insight. That is, to perpetually be able to hear and respond to the word of revelation as directed by the Spirit.
The apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthian church that "[we] may all prophesy" (1 Corinthians 14:31). This would be the gift of prophecy that we should all earnestly desire (1 Corinthians 14:1). Even so, there is much more to being a revelatory generation than prophecy.
Many years ago, when I was writing my second book, the Lord clearly told me to call the book "Engaging the Revelatory Realm of Heaven." The word "engaging" implied interlocking our life with the Spirit of revelation to inhabit that domain. The idea is like the transmission of the vehicle being engaged in drive so that the power of the engine can propel it forward. The Lord's revelatory anointing provides the ability to communicate with the Spirit perpetually and thus fruitful in all of our endeavors. It is the voice that speaks to us when we turn to the right or to the left. It is God's empowerment to walk in deep realms of the Spirit in a union experience with the Living Word.
