FAITH PRECEDES SIGHT
RACHEL MIRANDA EMERSON, BARDSTOWN, KY
Faith always precedes sight. Hope and faith are not the same. Faith is what pleases God. Cry out like the man in Mark 9:24: "God, help my unbelief."
Hope looks forward with expectation, but faith reaches out now and believes God's Word as certain. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (NKJV). Faith is what pleases God (Hebrews 11:6), because it trusts His character and His promises even before the breakthrough is visible.
When you feel unbelief creeping in, pray like the man in Mark 9:24, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" (NKJV). Let faith rise above what you see, for God is faithful to perform what He has spoken. Keep walking by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)!
"Then He touched their eyes, saying, 'According to your faith let it be to you'" (Matthew 9:29 NKJV). This powerful verse reminds us that faith is the key that unlocks the flow of God's healing power. Jesus consistently affirmed that faith, trusting in who He is and what He can do, is what positions us to receive! Let faith arise and the enemy be scattered.
