Joseph is proof that what looked like an ending was the beginning of God's promises fulfilled. This is the season when Joseph leaves the prison and goes to the palace.
I love Joseph's story. He heard the Lord. He was promised a great future. But it wasn't without betrayal and a really ugly process. I can only imagine the despair he felt in the pit, Potiphar's house, and the prison. Yet, God's word remained true. He fulfilled his promises to Joseph.
I've been humbled before when I thought I'd heard the Lord about certain situations, only to discover I misinterpreted what He was actually saying to me. We learn and grow through the process if we don't give up. But there are times when, like Joseph, God has spoken and we've interpreted clearly, but we find ourselves in an ugly process—a process that looks like we have misheard the Lord.
It's moments like this when only God can do it. Only He can bring His word to pass. And He transforms us in the process. Maybe it isn't over. It's just been a prison or pit season. Joseph's season changed overnight. The palace door is opening.
