EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BATTLE, YOU NEED YOUR GOSHEN
KATHIE WALTERS AND HEIDI BRYDEN
I heard the Lord say to get in His presence and stay there, even when you are in a battle. Then I heard the word "Goshen."
Goshen is where Joseph placed his brothers when there was a famine in the land. It was a place of rest and blessing. They lived in safety and were able to flourish despite the famine all around them.
Whatever is happening in the world, we can "snuggle" (snuggle - don't struggle). I told someone last night, "Stay in the truth, stay in Jesus' boat; He will never leave you nor forsake you." I spoke to someone else who felt she had made a mistake and messed up...but you know, we do make mistakes, and sometimes we do mess up. Sometimes the devil tells you, "It's too late now, you made some wrong choices," but God never leaves you. He has made a covenant with you; He keeps His covenant with covenant breakers - like you and me.
He has clothed you with the beautiful robe of His own righteousness and covered you with His love and anointing. The Holy Spirit is like your GPS, if you make a wrong turn, He will re-route you and put you back on track.
The Bible says that when there was darkness in Egypt, there was light in Goshen (see Exodus 10:22-23). Your light is not your own light - it's Jesus light which reflects on you. Just like the moon has no light of its own but reflects the light of the sun.
I had a vision of a lady who was singing, and as she sang, I saw different flowers come out of her mouth, and each flower had its own aroma. The spiritual things are much, much more amazing than we can ever imagine. While in Goshen, learn to enjoy learning about spiritual things, and what they mean. Jesus will give you revelation. It's a good time to ask God questions. It's OK to ask questions when you want to understand His ways; He promised to teach us His ways and how to walk in them. Goshen is a good opportunity.
If you are having a hard time and things don't seem to be going that great, go to Goshen. That's your place of peace where you can hear from God. Goshen is a place of blessing. The sickness and plagues of Egypt didn't come to Goshen. It's a disaster free, trouble free zone. He will keep you as the apple of His eye; He will hide you under the shadow of His wing. Tarry here a while...the Holy Ghost GPS will put you on the right track.
The enemy wants to drag you back to Egypt and keep you thinking like the world, but Jesus put you in Goshen - a place of fruitfulness, peace and sweetness. We've found a new place in the heavenlies...in Jesus Christ.
"O the vast, the boundless treasure
Of My Lord's unchanging love!"
(Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing by John Wesley)
In the army, after a battle, they have to regroup; sometimes we need to regroup. Before God takes you on further into your destiny, He wants to get some things off you, because we pick up dust along the way. Don't push every door you see; wait in Goshen. You will soon be on the rest of your journey to the Promised Land.
