Facts about Christmas
During the sixth month of pregnancy of Elisabeth [Elisheba] (not the sixth Jewish Month) the Angel Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth [Natsareth], a city of Galilee [Galil], to a virgin who was to marry a man called Joseph [Yoseph], her name was Mary [Miryam]. Gabriel told Mary she would conceive a child by the Holy Ghost, and His name was to be Jesus [Yeshua].
Now most likely Mary told Joseph about the angel and the conception by the Holy Ghost and her impending birth of Jesus after she returned from the birth of her cousin Elisabeth. Joseph did not believe her, but since he loved her still he was going to get a "divorce" quietly, but something miraculous happened to intervene. An an angel of YHWH appeared to Joseph in a dream and told Joseph that Joseph should marry Mary and that who was conceived in Mary was by the Holy Ghost and that they were to give the child the name Jesus. Well Joseph married Mary, but he did not lay with Mary until sometime after the birth of Jesus.
Now everyone had to get counted for a census to be taxed and they were to go back to their land of their family, so Joseph took Mary to the city of David [Dawid], which is called Bethlehem [Beyth Lehem], while there Mary delivered the baby Jesus and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
While that miracle was happening, another miracle happened to some shepherds in the fields surrounding Bethlehem, an angel of YHWH appeared to them and told them not to be afraid because the birth of the Saviour, Christ the LORD just happened in Bethlehem, and they were given a sign that He would be wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Then more angels appeared praising god and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
Well the shepherds talked among themselves a little bit, but then they quickly went into Bethlehem and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
Now Mary and Joseph had Jesus circumcised after eight days, and then when Mary was purified according to the Laws of God, they took Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem [Yerushalayim] along with the required animal sacrifices, and presented their firstborn at the Temple.
Sometime after Joseph, Mary, and Jesus were counted in the census and Joseph paid the taxes in Bethlehem, they most likely went back to Joseph's home in Nazareth, but the Bible does not say. All that is known is sometime a while after the birth a lot of wise men came to worship the new born King of the Jews because they saw his star in the East and the went to Jerusalem to find out some answers. Herod the king tries to use the wise men to find the child for Him, and Herod send the wise men to Bethlehem to find the child, but the wise men see another star and follow it to were the child is and they follow it and find the young child (not a baby) with Mary his mother and the wise men fall down and worship the child and give Him gifts of gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. The wise men are warned in a dream to go another way home, not to Herod, so they go another way home.
