Tonight, at sundown, we enter into the 9th of Av. Historically the day the Israelites chose to trust the words of men rather than the promise of God. Instead of the 9th being the day they entered the promise land it was the day a portal was open for evil because of their unbelief. That portal opens every 9th of Av to bring tragedy to the people of Israel.
Perhaps it would be wise to search our own hearts for areas of unbelief, fear and doubt that have set cycles in our own life of sorrow instead of entering into the joy of the Lord.
