• Doug has pastored Good News Fellowship Church in Broken Bow, Oklahoma for 41 years with his wife Judy. All three of their children are in active ministry in the Church.
• Doug has traveled and preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ in crusades, in the Jungles of Panama, San Blas Islands, Jamaica, Colombia, Dominica Republic and Mexico.
• Doug DeRamus was instrumental through the decade of the 90's helping pioneer a style of music that has come to be known as "Christian Country".
• Doug not only hosted and produced one of the early Christian Country Syndicated radio shows but for several years had the distinction of being the largest Christian Country syndicated radio show in the nation reaching into over 40 markets.
• Doug has been Up for a GRAMMY nomination for RECORD PRODUCER of THE YEAR 6 different times.
• Doug has produced 23 number one songs and many more top 5, top 10, and top 40 hits in Christian Country.
• Doug was asked by actor Robert Duvall to help proof read for possible changes needed in the movie script for Duvall’s upcoming movie “Apostle E.F.” which was changed to “The Apostle”. Doug made an appearance in the movie.
• Doug joined the ranks of other famous Americans, receiving a commission from Kentucky Governor Paul E. Patton as a Kentucky Colonel. The commission as a Kentucky Colonel is the highest honor that the state of Kentucky can give to a citizen of the United States. The Colonels are Kentucky's ambassadors of good will and fellowship around the world. A list of Kentucky Colonels read like a Who's Who of outstanding men and women around the world. Other distinguished individuals to be commissioned a "Kentucky Colonel” are: President Lyndon B. Johnson, Sir Winston Churchill, John Glenn, Bing Crosby, Red Skelton, Muhammad Ali, Bob Hope, and others. Colonel DeRamus has an open invitation to attend the Governor's Ball and the Kentucky Derby as special guest.
• Don Sundquist the Governor of Tennessee appointed and commissioned Doug as Ambassador of the State of Tennessee.
• The American Association of Retired Colonels commissioned Doug a “Honorary Colonel”.
• Doug has received international recognition as the top producer in Christian Country Music two times from The International Star Music Awards from London England.
• Doug was inducted into the International Country Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2006 where he served as President for two years, Vice-President for three years and a board member for twenty years.
• Doug was inducted into Texas International Music Hall of Fame in 2000.
