About Me:
I'm a PK (preacher/s kid) an MK (Missionary Kid) and OK (ordinary kid!) My parents were missionaries in India for about 25 years. My Mother was an RNA and studied fashion design which helped to design and make clothes to wear for nine months each year in boarding school. My father was a minister/missionary by profession, but a watch repair/ clock maker by trade. I graduated High School in 1966 in Canada and majored in music at a local Bible College the following year. I married and had two children immediately, while I was taking a correspondence course in Commercial Art from Washington School of Art and moving with my husband's corporate transfer. Every church I've attended has found me in the thick of event planning, musical offerings, and teaching of some kind. I've always loved arts and crafts and my calling in life is to 'take people, places, and things to their next level'. I am trained in Merchandising and Display and became a merchandising consultant for 18 years until 2009 when I shut down my business to care for my parents full time. I am now the new author of the book, "Done With Dementia: Keeping Your Parents Together and looking forward to helping many couples navigate their last years without moving into a facility.
