Here are some additional thoughts on the theme of communion. Hebrews 2:14-18
Elaborate on the reason Jesus wants us to remember his death and resurrection: *Jesus became human to annihilate the effects of the intimidating accuser!(hebrews 2:14 TPT) annihilate means to utterly destroy! What are the effects of the accuser? Basically the enemy wants to kill, steal and destroy our God ordained destiny.(John 10:10). How are the intimidating effects of the enemy destroyed? Luke 10:19 I given you authority… Over all the power of the enemy! Authority is the power or right to enforce obedience! How do we enforce obedience? I think it is safe to say we do what Jesus did. He knew the Scriptures and declared them in the face of the enemy. He spent a great deal of time in prayer so that he could understand God the father's heart. He gave us the authority of his name.(Mark 16:17, John 14:13).

So Communion must never be something that we do for the sake of religious ceremony. Truly grasping the effects of Jesus death and resurrection is powerful! The enemy hates it when believers know their authority! There is a lot to unpack in this scripture, Hebrews 2. As the Lord leads, I will be elaborating more on it.
