This week is a significant week as we end the Torah. The Torah ends with Moses speaking the blessing of God over the people of God. After the blessings are spoken Moses is taken to a high place Mount Nebo to die. Moses is promoted to Heaven in the spiritual realm. Joshua is promoted in the natural realm. Both are promoted at the mountain.

Moses means to draw out. Moses’s whole life he was used to draw people out of one place to another. He was trained by Pharaoh to be a leader. In the wilderness he was trained by Jethro to be a Shepard and a Priest. He had 2 father figures who imparted into him how to lead. One from a worldly perspective the other from a spiritual perspective. Moses then had a series of supernatural encounters that set him apart so he could lead and stand in the gap for Israel. For 40 years Moses imparted everything that was imparted into him to Joshua.

Joshua means Jehovah Saves, SALVATION. Now after Moses drew the faith, gifts and talents out of Israel Joshua is going to take over and save them from the wilderness and take them to the Promised Land. As the Israelites begin to take the land they have a leader who represents safety and protection.

Look at this verse Moses spoke in the blessing over Zebulun and Issachar.

Deuteronomy 33:19

“They shall call the peoples to the mountain; There they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; For they shall partake of the abundance of the seas And of treasures hidden in the sand.””

Now as a believer on this side of Christ I believe we have access to every blessing no matter who specifically is was spoke for. We as believers have been grafted in which means we have access to everything the tree has.

Look a the imagery:

Mountains = Promotion
Righteous Sacrifice = Personal Sacrifice
Abundance = Overflow no lack
Sea = Holy Spirit
Sand = You were created out of the dust of the Earth

God is calling people to the Mountain a place of promotion. As they give up things that prevent them from intimacy with God they give a righteous sacrifice. Out of the abundance of the Sea they have provision. One translation says they shall partake of the abundance of the suck of the sea. The word suck means as a mother nurses her child. So the Holy Spirit as mother supplies what ever her child needs so does Holy Spirit supply whatever we need. We only have to ask. You have not because you ask not. God gives Treasures Hidden in the Sand. You are sand so inside of you are Treasures waiting to be revealed. There are gifts and talents inside of you waiting to be found. There are books, businesses, and creative ideas waiting to be found inside of you.

The people had to give up their leader Moses to move forward. That was a righteous sacrifice that launched them into their future. They them began to take over the land. The abundance began to flow. As they made a plan and asked Holy Spirit for help they Conquered their enemies. The land was overflowing with milk and honey. They began to see value in themselves. They became Treasure to God.

Today is no different. God desires to promote you. He is waiting for you to give up what is holding you back. When you do He has everything you need and He has Hidden things inside of you. You will only find it when you dig deep into your relationship with Him. What are you waiting for? You are full of Hidden Treasures. Begin the search today.
