Lead — “Temptations and contradictions come in different shapes, sizes, and intervals; their intention is always to suck you into their energy field. However, my friends, your joy in who you know you are leads you out triumphantly every time. Here is the secret: joy is not something you have to fake, it is the fruit of what your faith knows to be true about you. You know that the proof of faith results in a persuasion that remains constant in contradiction.” (James 1:2-3, The Mirror Bible)
Joy leads us triumphantly through any path that we find ourselves on. Joy becomes our guide through every valley and over every mountaintop. Faith also is a large part of our journey. With joy leading and faith following up with the truth about us, these are worthy of celebration.
Let’s not be lead astray by doctrines of deceivers or tossed around by novel ideas! (Ephesians 4:14) Rather, let’s become the fragrance that pleases Daddy God. “I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Wherever my travels take me, I am so aware that God leads us as trophies in His victory parade. What He knows to be true about us diffuses through us like a perfume of sweet aroma everywhere we go, celebrating the success of the cross.” (2 Corinthians 2:14, The Mirror Bible)
Wherever life may lead us, let joy be your forerunner and the fragrance of Jesus fill the air before we even arrive!
Let’s Pray:
Daddy God!, Thank You that my joy is rooted not in my circumstances but in who You say I am. Help me remember today that I am Your beloved child, chosen, set apart, and victorious. When temptations come to steal my joy, remind me that my identity in You is unshakeable. Let my joy be authentic, flowing from the deep well of Your love for me. Amen.
Today’s Declaration:
Today I choose to walk in the joy of the Lord, knowing that it is my strength. I will let faith guide my steps and allow the fragrance of Christ to fill every space I enter. I am not a victim of my circumstances - I am a victor in Christ, a trophy in God's parade of triumph. Let everything I do today bring glory to my Daddy God!
Be a Blessing,
Sir Gregory
