Whenever empires, regimes, governments and rulers have made unjust laws and taxed people to death, they have signed their own downfall.
This statement is not conjecture, coincidence, myth or speculation but has been observed across continents, cultures and historical timelines.
From France to USA to India, in fact throughout civilizations and documented human history, the fight against tyrants was also against unjust and oppressive tax laws and inhuman edicts that were bleeding people and families into debt, hardship, poverty, lack and economic slavery.
The writing on the wall is clear: If you tax your citizens to death, you write your own destruction as a leader, group, party or a sovereign.
Whether you are the Head of a monarchy / a leader of a democracy, sovereign republic or a theocracy does not absolve you of consequences.
