1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
Ephesians 4:30 Don't grieve God. Don't break His heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for Himself. Don't take such a gift for granted.
James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
1 Chronicles 14:2 And David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel and that his kingdom had been highly exalted for the sake of His people Israel
Colossians 2:2-3 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
2 Corinthians 9:11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and … your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
As you store up provisions, may you always honor the One Who is your true Source; as you strengthen your defenses, may you seek the Rock which is cleft for you. As you prepare your weapons, may you reverently worship and obediently submit yourself to the Captain of the host of the Lord. Isaiah 22
May you look to the One who is your Creator for your needs, and have regard for the One who has planned your path long ago, not trusting to your own strength to accomplish it or your own understanding to overcome. Isaiah 22
May you answer the call of the Lord to sorrow and repentance in the day of need, turning away from those who choose joy and revelry at that time. Isaiah 22
May you obey God's summons as a faithful servant, accepting the responsibility He gives when He lays authority on your shoulder, walking it out with humility and ever seeking God for wisdom. Isaiah 22
May you always give the Lord all praise and honor, knowing that you bear the treasure of His Name in an earthen vessel. Isaiah 22
May you know that those who have walked in pride will be brought low and all of the earth's renown will be humbled, according to the redemptive plan of the Lord. In His mercy, God has placed you there, in humble circumstances, that you may show grace to them and welcome those who turn to the Father in their day of distress. Isaiah 23
May you learn to mourn for sin and rejoice in the Lord, for then no circumstance, no person, no power can take your joy from you. Isaiah 24
May you raise your voice in shouts of joy as the Lord's majesty is acclaimed from the west and glory given to the Lord in the east while His name is exalted in the islands of the sea with singing. The floodgates of the heavens are opened so that the foundations of the earth shake when God punishes the powers in the heavens above and the kings on the earth below as the Lord Almighty reigns on Mount Zion gloriously. Isaiah 24
My child, look with delight upon each opportunity to seek Me, and take joy in every task that requires you to draw nearer to Me.
Know that you will feel resistance in those times, for that is the heritage of the flesh and is to be expected. It is not sin to experience the reluctance, nor to have the thought pass through your mind of doing other things.
This is what you exercise discipline over as you press in through the Spirit in an expression of faith. Overcoming your own nature through the strength I give you is how you become more than a conqueror, for when you control your own spirit, you are greater than the one who captures a city.
I am your outward defense, My willing warrior. I do not call you to do battle with the world at large, for I have already overcome the world. I do not call you to defeat the enemy of your soul, but merely to resist him, for I have already conquered him. I call you to love those who are in the world, and to serve them as I have served you, giving mercy as I have given you mercy.
This is your task outwardly, while the battle that rages is the one you fight inwardly, ever bringing the carnal mind into submission and disciplining your fleshly appetites in denial and obedience.
My weapons are not carnal, for you are not assigned to attack people or organizations. My Word is alive and active through the Spirit, penetrating to divide the soul and spirit by judging the thoughts and attitudes of your heart.
My armor is defensive, and is proof against the wiles of the enemy when you wear it, My eager one. Do not neglect to be thoroughly equipped with My covering from head to foot, for you are seeking My lambs in the briars and thickets to rescue them from the bears and wolves and lions who have captured them. My armor is proof against all outward attack, but you must not go on the offensive with My sword against My wandering sheep. My Spirit will convict them of sin and righteousness and judgment, even as He has done in your heart.
Let your soul fear Me in respectful awe, and your spirit hope in My mercy, that you may behave in a way that is pleasing to the Father and find favor with Him.
May you not set aside the grace of God as you seek to be justified in Christ, for the life you live in the body is lived by faith in the Son of God. He loves you and gave Himself for you so that, being crucified with Christ, you no longer live, but Christ lives in you. Galatians 2
May you consider for yourself and evaluate whether the blessings of God's favor and the fruits of the Holy Spirit are evident and abundant where man's philosophy and moral distinctions are preached, or where faith in the living truth of God's Word, the eternal effectiveness of Christ's crucifixion, and the keeping power of the gift of the Spirit brings the transforming results of justification in Christ and right standing before God. Galatians 3
May you understand that all who believe and have faith are blessed along with Abraham, as children of Abraham, the man of faith. Galatians 3
May you fear God when the land is shaken and torn, causing the people to see desperate times. He has raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow, as He saves you and helps you with His right hand, for those He loves will be delivered. Psalm 60
May you realize that it is God who will give you aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless. With God to bring you to the fortified city, you will gain the victory as He tramples down your enemies. Psalm 60
May your heart be wise and your lips speak what is right, for that brings gladness to the heart of God and rejoicing to God's inmost being. Proverbs 23:15-16
