The Prayerful Word - October 28

  • Ephesians 4:22-24 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Romans 8:26 The Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.

1 Peter 2:12 Live such good lives among others that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us.

Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Romans 6:10-12 For the death that [Jesus] died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its [appetites and desires].

May you know that the Lord is a God of recompense, and He always repays in full, showing mercy to the merciful, giving grace to the humble and rejecting those who reject His word. Jeremiah 51

May your labor not be fuel for the flames, but as you are submitted to the Lord, may your words be His, giving life and encouragement to others and may your hands bring healing to hearts wounded and strength to knees weakened by the terrors roving abroad. Jeremiah 51

May you recall your past and rehearse your history, giving witness to your wickedness and testimony to God's redemption, for His grace can bring you out of the farthest darkness and the deepest dungeon, bringing you into the light and honoring you by setting you at the king's table. Jeremiah 52

May you remember to be subject to rulers and magistrates, obedient and ready to do whatever is good, slandering no one but being peaceable and considerate, showing true humility toward all. Titus 3

Abide in Me, My child, even as I dwell in you.
Be of My people, My precious one, even as I covenant to be your God.
Think always, deeply, on Me, My caring one, even as I always think longingly and lovingly on you.
Be content with the inheritance I give to you, My treasured one, even as I am delighted to have chosen you to be My specific and particular portion out of all others.
Fulfill My will in your life today, My eager worker, even as I meet all your needs today.
Make Me central and supreme in your heart, My dear one, even as I have dedicated Myself to being your Advocate and High Priest before the Father.
Submit to My Spirit in order to manifest Me to the world, My dedicated one, even as I have engraved you on the palms of My hands.
Withstand the enemy with the word of your testimony, My valiant one, even as I have poured out My blood to defeat him.
Love not your life enough to shrink from death to self and flesh, My brave one, even as I emptied Myself of any reputation and plans of My own.
I will give you the grace to trust Me and serve Me as your Lord and God as you turn to Me and reach out for the abundance I have prepared for you to meet your heart's desire.

May you rejoice because God has saved us, not through righteous things we have done, but because of His mercy, for when the kindness and love of our Savior appeared, He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, Whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ, so that, having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. Titus 3

May you be careful to devote yourself to doing what is good since you have trusted in God. Titus 3

May you learn to devote yourself to doing what is good, in order that you may provide for daily necessities and not live an unproductive life. Titus 3

May you shout for joy to the Lord with all the earth and worship the Lord with gladness, coming before Him with joyful songs, knowing that the Lord is God, it is He that hath made us, and we are His; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Psalm 100

May you enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise, giving thanks to Him and praise to His name, for the Lord is good and His love endures forever, and His faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100
