The Prayerful Word - February 21

  • 2 Corinthians 4:7 We have this treasure in clay jars, so that it may be made clear that this extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us.

Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True…

Proverbs 22:11 He who loves purity of heart and whose speech is gracious, the king is his friend.

Psalm 68:20 Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign LORD comes escape from death.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.

Psalm 116:15,16 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. 16 …You have freed me from my chains.

May you walk in the freedom of fulfilled law and the liberty of imputed righteousness that Christ has brought you, releasing you from men's traditions and weighty expectations, so that through the Spirit you may love the Lord your God with your whole being, and your neighbor as yourself. Leviticus 11

May you willingly accept and be motivated to participate in the self-discipline and training that God prepares for you, knowing that although all things are lawful, not all things are expedient, and your response to the love of the Father which draws you is to be the love of the child who, as co-heir, is focused on learning rather than playing. Leviticus 11

May you show yourself obedient during the testing by the Lord, as He reveals each lack in your heart, offering Himself as the solution to your need. This will give you the liberty to release the substitute answers you had devised, and embrace His free gift instead, casting out murmuring to receive thanksgiving, releasing frustration and accepting patience, putting off criticism and putting on encouragement. Remember that He is the Lord your God Who has redeemed you, and called you to consecrate yourself to be holy, because He is holy. Leviticus 11

May you bring to the feet of Jesus your earnest request, not allowing worldly position or authority to blind you to His lordship over all powers, for He will answer your humble plea. Mark 5

May your faith propel you through all obstacles and traditions that would prevent you from touching the heart of Jesus, for His power will meet all your needs. Mark 5

May you come with trembling and humility to confess, and testify before all, the truth of what Jesus has just done for you, so that you may be freed from your suffering and go in peace. Mark 5

May you not be afraid and lose faith when others bring disheartening news or make discouraging assessments, but simply believe in Jesus' word as you did when you started. Mark 5

Let My Word do a complete work in your heart as you consider and dwell in your thoughts upon all that I have said to you. If you found a ring of keys in the room your kidnappers imprisoned you, would you ignore the opportunity to escape simply because there were so many keys on the ring?
Though I have shown you My acts as I have brought you out of your former way of life, My desire is to bring you closer to Me, drawing you near to My heart as I reveal My ways to you. You are called, for you are beloved in the Father and sanctified, set aside, kept through the Spirit for the Son. Learn the truths I guide you into through your daily walk and practice them in your relationships and interactions with Me and with one another so that you may be set apart from the people of the world.
As you are in a cleansing and training time before being presented to the King, avail yourself of the advice and directions of those who have been set about you, those who care for your soul, and learn the use of the gifts that beautify and adorn you in His sight, that He would find you purified and zealous for good works, making a distinction from those of the world who pursue only their own desires and seek only their own interests.
Keep your heart turned toward Me by looking always for the blessed hope and the appearing of My glory, for it is the Father Who both sends Me and draws you, according to His foreknowledge and grace.
Draw close to Me when the pathway grows perilous, for I will not abandon you. Receive My comfort when evil people prosper, for I will reveal to you their end. Know My Word and walk in it, for through its truth, your spirit and soul and body will be preserved complete, without blame at My coming, when you join Me at the wedding feast of the Son.

May the Lord not forsake you or be far from you, but come quickly to help when you are in need and call to him. Psalm 38

May you be deaf to the words of the enemy, and have no response to the accusations of God's foes, but simply wait on the Lord your God and accept His response, for He will answer them with finality and bring ruin upon all who touch His beloved. Psalm 38

May your longing lie open before the Lord, for nothing can be hidden from God, and even that which drives away friends and neighbors will not change God's love for you. Psalm 38

May the Lord not rebuke you in His anger or discipline you in His wrath, but may you, with repentance, accept His work in your heart without resistance or rebellion, for His plan is to give you hope and bring you to a good end. Psalm 38

May you accept God's commands, as the wise in heart do, and may you walk in the integrity of Christ so that you will walk securely as a witness for God before all who are watching. Proverbs 10:8-9
