The Prayerful Word - February 26

  • 2 Samuel 6:21-22 David said, “I will celebrate before the Lord. 22 I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes.”

James 2:26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Matthew 14:28 Peter answered [Jesus], “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

1 Samuel 17:45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.”

1 Peter 1:8-9 Though you have not seen Him, you love Him. Though you do not now see Him, you believe in Him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

May you be holy in thought, word, and deed through Christ Jesus because the Lord your God is holy. Leviticus 19

May you fear the Lord your God with inward reverence and esteem and, by outward respect and obedience, show no partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but shed the love of God abroad to all. Leviticus 19

May you turn from the false gods, the works of your hands, images of that which is created, and worship in spirit and in truth the only true God, the Creator, the One Who will make you holy. Leviticus 19

May you love your neighbor as yourself, for the Lord has first loved you. Leviticus 19

May you consecrate yourself to be holy and keep the decrees of the Lord to follow them for He is the One Who makes you holy. Leviticus 20

When your soul is downcast within you, My child, let My peace and comfort sink deep within you by remembering that you have been made the righteousness of God through Me. When your heart despairs, know that I have made you to be blameless before God's holiness, for when you confess your sins, I am faithful and righteous to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Let My wisdom reside in the hidden part of your soul, for I desire truth in your innermost being.
Do you not realize that when you pray, I am the One praying through you? When you demonstrate gifts of mercy and graces of compassion to others, that they are My gifts and graces to you? When you act rightly and walk in a consistently just and righteous manner toward others, living in a consecrated and sanctified fashion, that it is I Who lives in you?
This is as it should be, My dear one. You are neither stealing from Me, nor are you living a lie. You cannot do anything to accomplish your own preservation, salvation, or sanctification, else why would I have had to come to earth and complete My work of salvation on the cross? I am the Alpha and the Omega; I am the Author and the Finisher of your faith-walk. Salvation is of Me, alone. Because I, who knew no sin, became sin for you, you who know nothing but the ways and thoughts and deeds of sin, now have become the righteousness of God.
It is strange and, at times, difficult to learn the ways of righteousness and the thoughts of compassion, but always remember: I finish what I start. I am there with you all the way. I am your Encourager, your Coach, your Mentor, your Pathfinder, your Strength-giver.
Accept My bounty, enter into My presence with confidence, draw near with a sincerely thankful heart, stand in the full assurance of faith, and receive a fresh increase of strength, for these are all provisions I have made and stamped with your name. They are yours, My love. Take them up and walk with Me in the joy of My salvation.

May your heart be open to what the Lord has to say so that you will have eyes to see and ears to hear, not only in the natural, but also in the Spirit, wherein is life and faith. Mark 8

May you be drawn aside by the Lord and allow His complete work to be accomplished in your body and your mind as His total healing takes effect, as the light of the morning, shining more and more unto the perfect day, reveals the fullness of Christ in your life. Mark 8

May you not attempt to limit the Lord or rely on your imperfect understanding of the nature and the plan of God's kingdom when He begins to teach you what you need to know. Mark 8

May you deny yourself, take up your cross and follow the Lord Jesus, willing to lose your life for God and the Gospel, trusting Him to save it. Mark 8

May you forget, ignore, disown, and lose sight of yourself and your own interests and join Jesus Christ as a disciple, siding with His party, and follow with Him continually, cleaving steadfastly to Him, willingly giving up your life which is lived only on earth for His sake and the Gospel's in order to save your higher, spiritual life in the eternal kingdom of God. Mark 8

May your inner self pant and long thirstily for the presence of the living God, desiring the time when you can come and meet with Him, knowing His heart and hearing His voice, even as the deer pants regularly and repeatedly, day after day, for streams of water which refresh and renew its life. Psalm 42

May you put your hope in God when your soul is downcast and disturbed within you, for then you will be able to praise Him, your Savior and your God. Psalm 42

May your prayer be to the God of your life, for by day the Lord directs His love and kindness toward you and at night His song remains with you, a prayer to the God of your life. Psalm 42

May you heed God's discipline, for it shows the way to life, and not be like those who ignore correction and thereby lead others astray. Proverbs 10:17

May you heed instruction and correction so that you will not only yourself be in the way of life, but will be a way of life for others, unlike those who neglect or refuse reproof and not only himself goes astray but causes to err, and is a path toward ruin, for others. Proverbs 10:17
