The Prayerful Word - March 18

  • Romans 11:17 You, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root.

2 Corinthians 3:18 And we, who with unveiled faces all [contemplate and] reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Lamentations 3:40 Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.

Romans 13:11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Luke 6:36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

May you know that the Lord, He is God, and may you trust His full control in all circumstances, for though each person has the freedom to choose, He is able, whenever you turn to Him, to bring you back to Himself from wherever your decisions have taken you. Numbers 26

May you be confident that your faith in the Lord and your testimony of Christ will let you stand when others fall, so that you may endure to the end and see the victory of God, receiving His promises. Numbers 26

May you see how the Lord has respect for those who have respect for Him, for He will make a way where there appears to be no way, if you have strong faith, earnest desire and respectful honor, as you pursue the conviction which God places in your heart. Numbers 27

May you trust God to care for you in all ways, leaving the details and the concerns of what happens to you safely in the hands of the One Who has proven the boundless depths of His love for you. In that way, you may turn your desires and prayers toward those you care for as you move from one season of life to another, and from one stage of ministry to the next. Numbers 27

May you pray for and invest in those younger than yourself, in whom you see the graces and gifts of the Spirit, the hunger, humility, and courage of a follower of God, that they may see the love of God walked out and hear the wisdom of God expressed. Numbers 27

May you daily offer to God the continual sacrifice of burnt-offering, at both the first and the last of the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in all that He gives you to do, as you do it all as unto the Lord, to His praise and to His glory. Numbers 28

My child, let your eye be single and your thoughts stayed on me, not double-minded and swayed by circumstances or events.
You are given the choice, the freedom, to decide where you stand and to pick your point of view. There are those who see nothing but the shortcomings in their life, the short-falls in their fortune, the defeats and failures of those who bear My name. They see only what is yet to be done, the distance yet to be traveled, and they yield to discouragement and despondency, believing and proclaiming that nothing ever changes, but that all continues as it has from the beginning.
I have called you, My lovely one, to walk by faith and not by sight, to dwell in the heavenlies with Me even as you walk the dusty paths of your pilgrimage on earth. By this, you understand that though you still dwell in a body of flesh which has inherited the promise of death through Adam’s sin, you are renewed in your mind and reborn in your heart, glorified in your spirit in Christ, seated with Me in heavenly places to reign and rule in the ages to come.
Do not look at the gap or discrepancy between what you see now and what you have been told in My Word, for am I not able to do what, with man, is impossible? Have I not said that when I return in triumph in the skies that Mine who remain alive will be transformed in the twinkling of an eye? I, and I alone, am the Author and Finisher of your faith-walk, and only as you endure, through patience and long-suffering, will you be in place to be saved.
Let the joy of My promises fill your heart and make the day's journey lighter; let the assurance of the coming celebration at the wedding feast of the Lamb put a spring in your step. Let the eternal reality of My kingdom out-weigh and over-ride whatever your fleshly eyes and ears convey to you. Guard continually the "gates" to the "kingdom" of your soul.
I do not tell you to lie to yourself or anyone else about what is around you or what you are facing, but neither are you to cast aside promises that you have not yet received. Since both are true, but only one is eternal, which report will you put your trust in?

May you prepare straight paths to the Lord, speaking the truth in love to others that they may realize Who to turn to and see how to get there. Multitudes are struggling in rough places on crooked roads, trying to make decisions in every valley, though their sight is blocked by the mountains and the hills, as they wait for you to bring good tidings and publish peace, announcing the salvation of the God Who reigns! Luke 3

May you live a life that demonstrates your repentance and illustrates God's forgiveness by walking each day in generosity to others needs, honesty in your assignments and responsibilities, humility in your authority, meekness in your strength, and contentment in your circumstances. Luke 3

May God hear your cry and listen to your prayer when your heart is faint and overwhelmed, though you call from the ends of the earth. Psalm 61

May He lead you to the mighty, towering Rock of safety, so that He may be your refuge, a strong, high tower where your enemies can never reach you. Psalm 61

May you long to abide in God's dwelling forever, and take shelter in His wings. He has heard your heart's cry and has given you the blessings reserved for those who fear His name. Psalm 61

May God give you added years of life, as rich and full as those of many generations, all packed into one, that you shall live before the Lord forever. He will assign His lovingkindness and truth to guard and watch over you so that you may praise the name of the Lord each day, continually. Psalm 61

May you receive the honor which goes to kind and gracious people, rather than mere money which is all that those who love cruelty receive. Proverbs 11:16

May you nourish your own soul through your kindness to others, lest cruelty destroys it. Proverbs 11:17
